Michael Christ is an American poker player best known for winning the $1,500 Big O event for $306,884 at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP).
Little is known about Christ, as his Hendon Mob profile shows no previous cashes, although we do know he hails from Odenton, Maryland. Christ entered Event #27: $1,500 Big O at the 2024 WSOP alongside 1,554 opponents. He turned his 25,000 starting stack into 389,000 on Day 1, which was enough for a place in the top 25 chip counts. Christ improved his chip count to 3,335,000 on Day 2, placing him third of the 20 surviving players.
He eventually found himself heads-up against Matthew Beinner. The final hand saw a short-stacked Beinner open the betting with a raise before calling off the rest of his chips when Christ three-bet. Beinner showed Q?8?7?6?6? and was against Christ's 9?9?5?4?2?. The five community cards fell 8?7?2?4?9? gifting Christ a winning set of nines.
