Pedro Neves is a Portuguese professional poker player who became a World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion for the first time at the 2024 WSOP in Las Vegas.
Neves has played at the WSOP since 2019 with varying degrees of success. In 2021, he reeled in a $ 15,856 score for a 19th-place finish in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Double Stack.
At the 2022 WSOP, he finished 13th in the $1,500 Closer for $31,810. Later in 2022, in the ��2,100 PokerStars UKIPT High Roller, Neves navigated his way to a third-place finish worth ��111,270, his first six-figure prize. Now armed with a confidence boost and a larger bankroll, Neves became a regular in higher-stakes games, where he continued producing deep runs.
The Portuguese star finished as the runner-up to Michel Dattani, himself hailing from Portugal, in the $10,000 PCA Main Event in January 2023. Neves won $1,183,037. Neves then reached the final three tables of the �5,300 EPT Monte Carlo Main Event in April 2023, showing he is capable of rubbing shoulders with the best players in the world.
At the start of 2024, Neves helped himself to another $100,000+ prize by finishing third in the R$100,000 GGPoker Ultra High Roller in Brazil; Neves scooped R$900,000 ($183,162).
In May 2024, Neves reached the final six of the �25,000 EPT Monte Carlo High Roller, falling in sixth for a new career-high award of �258,400.
At the 2024 WSOP, Neves won the $1,500 Monster Stack No-Limit Hold'em event for his first bracelet and a colossal $1,098,220 in prize money.
