It was looking like Zuo Wang was the next player most likely to hit the rail and that has just become a reality as a recent hand saw Wang bite the dust.
The action started with Wang shoving all in for his last 530,000 and getting calls from both Jeff Rossiter and Randy Lew in the blinds. Both Rossiter and Lew checked on the turn and river as a board was spread across the felt.
Wang watched on as Lew again checked before Rossiter threw out 700,000. Lew then tanked for some time before cutting down his stack and making it 1,700,000 to go. Rossiter made a quick call and watched as Lew tabled his for a queen-high straight, enough to trump the jack-high straight with which Rossiter held.
Wang opened up his and sent them into the muck, a devastating result after hitting a much desired set. Wang goes home in 5th place and receives a respectable HKD 809,000.
With that monster hand, Randy Lew is the new chipleader!
