Trumbo Calls With Aces; Lawson Exits

Level 20
: Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
David Lawson opened under-the-gun to 45,000 and was then three-bet to 100,000 by Isaac Trumbo. When the action folded back to him, Lawson made the call to see a flop of K?Q?J?.
Both players then checked to see the 3? peel off on the turn, which saw a bet from Lawson lead for 65,000 and a call from Trumbo.
The river fell the 8? and Lawson fired again for 160,000, which sent Trumbo into the tank.
After a few moments of head shaking and counting chips, Trumbo tossed in the chips to make the call.
"Nice call," Lawson sighed as he tabled 8?9? for a pair of eights.
"Nice barrel," Trumbo replied as he rolled over [ajad] to take the pot.
Left short, Lawson exited the tournament a few hands later.
