What A Call!
There are many times covering a poker tournament where you're waiting to see a player make a decision only for them to fold after spending an age thinking. It feels such a waste of one's time because there are most probably better things to be covering elsewhere. Then there's the time when you actually witness an incredible call and it makes all those wasted times worth it.
Jan Collado opened to 5,100 from mid position and called when Dmitry Vitkind three-bet to 11,000 from the button. The German called to a flop where he check-called a 12,100 c-bet. The turn came and Collado checked to face a 16,500 bet. He called once more and was really put to the test on the river as the Russian moved all-in when checked to for a third time.
Collado had 43,000 back and took so long over his decision that the clock was called on him. There was probably about thirty seconds left when he made the call all in. Vitkind mucked and Collado slammed down on the table. Some call there, buddy.
