Berglund Holds Massive Lead After Day 2 of EPT Sanremo Main Event
The 2014 PokerStars.it European Poker Tour Sanremo continued today with Day 2 action from the Casino Sanremo on the Italian Riviera. There were 316 players still in contention for the title at the start of the day, and with no further players taking the option to buy in the prize pool was announced. A total number of 556 entrants generated a €2,480,872 prize pool with €476,100 going to the eventual winner and 79 players being paid.
After six levels of play, Lukas Berglund from Sweden leads the Day 2 field with 700,600. The final tally of Day 2 survivors was 115 players, all of whom will return when play resumes here at Noon local time tomorrow. That is when the tense money bubble will burst sending a further 36 players home empty handed.
