Some times the way the cards come out, there's no way to avoid going broke. That's what happened to Hevad Khan when he took on Danny Wong on one of tables in the salon. Wong started things off with a middle-position pre-flop raise to 750. Khan, two seats to Wong's left, re-raised to 2,100, clearing out the rest of the field. Wong called.
A flop of would be Khan's downfall. Wong checked, then check-raised Khan's 3,500-chip bet to 8,000. Khan called.
Both players checked the turn. When the river fell , Wong splashed 30,000 chips into the pot, enough to set Khan all in. Khan didn't take long to call, but his top two pair, , had been brutally out-flopped by Wong's set of sevens, . Wong collected the pot and Khan's scalp. Khan is now out.
