Feng Wins One; Liang Applies Pre-flop Pressure
The first break of the day is fast approaching, but the action is heating up rather than slowing down as the players settle in for the long haul.
Kaiyuan Zhan kick-started the action in this particular hand, limping from under-the-gun before Germany’s Kilian Loeffler, sitting in middle position, juiced it up to 700.
Action folded around to Yue Feng (button) who shot the Germany a suspicious stare and reached for chips. They were not for calling with and Feng fired for 2,100.
Zhan flirted with the idea of calling but eventually thought better of it and threw his hand away and Loeffler made the call to take the action heads-up to the flop.
Loeffler checked, Feng barreled for 3,500 and that was enough to take it down. Feng climbed to just over 27,000 after the hand and Loeffler now had 16,000.
Tablemate Xiao Ming Liang looked keen to get into the action the following hand and after a pre-flop open to 500 from middle position Liang ripped in the lot, shoving for close to 12,000. Liang’s opponent chuckled and mucked and Liang flashed him and seemed disappointed to not find a customer.
