The $1,100 PokerNews Cup Mystery Bounty saw the first of three flights conclude today. A total of 507 players came out to play this event which saw only 63 players make it to the end of the day. Last years flight got 183 entrants, and with this near-tripling of the turnout, we could see the $1,000,000 guarantee get hit sooner than anticipated.
Leading the way is Anthony Kennedy, who ended their day with 697,000. Kennedy is enjoying his first hendon mob cash in the United States as many of his cashes are from the United Kingdom and Ireland. He holds $282,939 in lifetime earnings and looks to make this run a top career score. The only others to bag over 600,000 are Pedro Ingles (676,000), and Vid Zagar (668,000), each looking to add to their own resumes.
