Mendoza Doubles Through Xu; Xu Left With One Big Blind

In a hand recapped to PokerNews by Jason Mendoza, Yang Xu raised to 2,200 from middle position and Mendoza called from the small blind.
The two players saw a Jx9x3x flop and Mendoza check-called a bet of 4,300 from Xu.
The turn came a 7x and Mendoza checked. Xu moved all-in for around 23,000 and after some time in the tank, Mendoza made the call and was at risk.

Xu: QxJx
Mendoza had Xu pipped on the kicker and would hold through the 4x on the river to secure the double-up.
Mendoza jokingly noted that his wife said he's the highest-ranked GPI player in the field and wanted that mentioned in the hand recap.
