Furry of Eliminations
At the start of Day 2, 198 players returned to battle it out and the eliminations flew all over the place with "Jorryt "TheCleaner11" van Hoof finishing in 163rd place for $444 and $888 in bounties but he won't be too dissatisfied as he was still in the High buy-in version of this tournament and won it in the end by defeating another Dutchman heads-up.
Pascal "P?ffchen" Hartmann left the stage shortly after when he failed to win with a set of kings he had flopped on the king-six-queen-jack board. He was up against Josip "Jozinho6" Simunic who had turned the Broadway. The board didn't pair up on the river to send the German to the rail. The Austrian player finished in 79th place himself when he shoved his ace-deuce into the eight-six of "brusYvo to then see an eight come on the flop.
Race to the Final Table
Both "SiiQnesS" and "SoulRead93" were near the top chip counts during most of the breaks and seemed to be destined to get to the final table. With Bruno “bootycheck” Rangel, Michael "M_Acevedo" Acevedo, Rafael "GM_VALTER" Moraes, Luke "lb6121" Schwartz, Day 1 chip leader "Pimmss", and Phillipe "takechip" D’Auteuil busting in quick succession it would be China's "OK1OK2" who would bubble the final table when they busted to "SiiQnesS" when they jammed with pocket kings and got looked up by a set of eights on the deuce-four-eight flop.
From Nine Players to One Winner
Nine-handed play lasted around 25 minutes before "chry1982" logged out of the software when he ran sevens into the ace-king of "SoulRead93". The latter then took out "nicefellow who held ace-king. The eight-six of "SoulReader93" found two sixes on the flop to connect with. Immediately after, "Vocaaas" fell to them too with queen-deuce while "SoulRead93" had ten-five. The tens on the turn and river gave them a full house to score another bounty.
"SoulRead93" looked like he was going all the way to eliminate all of his opponents on this table but he doubled "Backa_95" up first before going back to his old ways by taking out birthday boy Moolhuizen with queens. Moolhuizen had found ace-king but didn't get any help from the board. "Backa_95" then busted the tournament when his eights couldn't win against the tens of "SiiQnesS". "M1TR4ND1R" finished in fourth place with pocket nines. "SoulRead93" claimed their bounty with ace-king as he hit top pair on the flop.
And then "VladTheSlaye" was eliminated 45 minutes after "crhy1982" had busted when his aces got cracked by the fours of "SiiQnesS". "SoulRead93" would start the heads-up with a lead but that would quickly switch to "SiiQnesS" who didn't let it go. "SoulRead93" did manage to double up once but the curtains finally fell when he shoved with eight-seven on the six-eight-king-ten-queen board and was called by "SiiQnesS" who had turned two pair with ten-eight.
