Robert Nguyen raised all in from under the gun for his stack of 76,000. It then folded to Alexander Farahi on the button, who made the call. After the blinds folded it was the two players heads up, with Nguyen at risk.
Robert Nguyen: 6?6?
Alexander Farahi: A?Q?
It was a flip for Nguyen's tournament life, which he was ahead with his pocket sixes. The 3?5?K? flop changed nothing, but the 6? on the turn left Farahi drawing dead. Once the 7? came on the river Nguyen officially had the best hand with his set to secure the double up.
Sanjeev Kapoor opened the action with a raise to 18,000 from middle position before it folded to Peter Cross who three-bet to 50,000 from the hijack. Once it folded back to Kapoor he made the call to see a flop.
The flop came J?9?5? and Kapoor check-called a bet of 18,000 from Cross.
After the 7? on the turn Kapoor checked to Cross who fired out 50,000. Kapoor then sat in the tank for over two minutes, before another player at the table called the clock. After he was given 30 seconds to act, Kapoor then raised to put Cross all in for his stack of 250,000 and Cross snap called to put himself at risk.
Peter Cross; J?J?
Sanjeev Kapoor: K?10?
Kapoor jammed right into Cross's set of jacks, saying "That was a misread". Kapoor was left with only a gut shot straight draw to beat the set of jacks, But that draw came right in after the Q? hit the river to give Kapoor the straight, and eliminate Cross.
Bradley Harris opened the action was a raise under the gun to 15,000, and was called by Colleen Long on the button,
After the J?4?2? flop, Long called a bet of 20,000 from Harris.
Both players checked after the 3? on the turn, which brought the A?. Harris then bet out 30,000 which was quickly called by Long. Harris then tabled A?J? for two pair aces and jacks to take the pot as Long mucked her hand.
Action folded to Preston Patz in the hijack who raised to 12,000, and was called by Sanjeev Kapoor on the button,
The flop came 4?J?3? and Patz check-called a bet of 17,000 from Kapoor.
After the 8? hit the turn Patz checked to Kapoor who bet out 43,000. Patz gave it some thought before tossing his hand in the muck and giving the pot to Kapoor.
