New Champion Set to be Crowned Today in UKIPT London Main Event
It's time for the Final Day of what has been an epic PokerStars UKIPT London Main Event. The Hippodrome Casino has been packed from floor to ceiling to accomodate 725 entries over the course of the tournament and there are now just 13 players remaining in contention for the title and their share of the ��696,000 prize pool.
Everyone who returns has already locked up at least ��7,950, with the eventual winner set for a payday worth ��127,600.
Gaspare Sposato of Italy returns as chip leader at the start of the Final Day after bagging 3,325,000 chips. Sposato is a poker pro who plays online and has more recently been trying his hand on the live circuit. He's now setup for his biggest recorded live cash of all time.
Close behind him in the counts is Alessandro Pichierri, also from Italy, who returns with 3,170,000. Starting in third place is Day 1b chip leader Saigokul Kannan of the UK with 2,725,000.
Alex Romero is the last PokerStars ambassador standing and will sit back down with 650,000.

When action resumes on the Final Day of the UKIPT London Main Event, blinds will be on 20,000/40,000 with a 40,000 big blind ante. Blind levels will continue at 60 minutes and the event will play down to a winner. The tournament recommences at 12 p.m. local time.
