World Cup of Cards Tournament Leaderboard Update
The World Cup of Cards is approaching the halfway point of its tournament schedule and Jason Conforti is on top of the tournament leaderboard.
Playground Poker is offering more than CAD $10,000 in prizes to the top leaderboard finishers, including a CAD $8,000 Carribean Poker Party Package. Right now, Conforti leads Charles La Boissonniere at the top of the leaderboard with 705.3 points. La Boissonniere most recently finished second to Tommy Coulombe in the All-Stars for Starlight tournament earlier this week. Conforti finished 80th in that tournament and has three final tables this week. He finished eighth (CAD $460) in Event #4: No-Limit Hold em Freeze, sixth (CAD $500) in Event #7: Crazy Pineapple Knockout, and sixth (CAD $340) in Event #10: 8-Max Dealer's Choice.
Conforti is sitting at just above starting stack so far today, but his next closest leaderboard threat has already been eliminated. With some of the bigger buy in events coming up, and Day 2 of the Quantum still looking, it's anyone's guess who will finish on top.
Here is a list of the top 10 players on the WCC leaderboard.
