Day 1d Started

This flight does come with a difference in strategy, though, because unlike the 40-minute levels used for all other live Day 1 sessions, this flight will play with a turbo structure as blinds will increase every 20 minutes for the duration of the day. This means that depending on speed of play at each table, players can expect to get somewhere between five and seven hands per level and will not have the luxury of waiting around for premium starting cards. Because of these factors, you can expect an absolutely action packed day as players chase a seat in what will be their last chance to advance to Day 2 in the Main Event.

Action folded around to Derek Gibb on the button who raised to 800 only to see Steven Markowitz come in for a three-bet to 1,600. Gibb paused briefly before deciding to make it four bets as he threw out a raise totaling 7,000. Markowitz made the call and the pair headed to a 9?4?2? flop.
Markowitz checked it over to Gibb who continued with a bet of 4,000. Markowitz made the quick call to see the 9? hit the turn.
Markowitz checked once again and watched as Gibb gathered chips to make a bet of 12,000. Markowitz didn't release his hand immediately but did eventually come to a fold, conceding the pot to Gibb with no river.
