Ladies and gentlemen, meet your chip leader. While the rest of the field is tirelessly grinding out small pots here in the early stages, Table 1 has been splashing chips around furiously. Loren "Lush" Egide has become the beneficiary of that action, as he has chipped his way up to 79,000 as a result. That's good enough to make him the big stack in the room, and it's a room he's familiar with. Last year, Egide ran deep in a preliminary event here, finishing up in 11th place and earning his first career live tournament cash.
He's well on his way to improving upon that finish here in the Big Show this year. It's still early, but Egide is leading the pack towards the second break.
