Big Stacks Collide
Yair Alon was under the gun and raised to 40,000. Farid Nasserazad then reraised to 100,000 from the cutoff and Travis Lutes called from the small blind. Alon got out of the way and it was heads up between the two big stacks.
The flop came down and Lutes checked to Nasserazad, who bet 250,000. Lutes responded with a check-raise to 625,000 and Nasserazad moved all in. Lutes would have to put his tournament life on the line if he wanted to make the call. Instead, he opted to fold and preserve his remaining 985,000. With that win, Nasserazad takes a commanding chip lead of 2.7 million.
