Darrell Lee Wins Event #7: $400 Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or Better for First Gold Ring
While PokerNews is only live reporting the High Roller and Main Event tournaments at the World Series of Poker Circuit Foxwoods stop, there have been plenty of other side events playing out all week long.
One of them was Event #7: $400 Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or Better, a tournament that drew 124 entrants and created a $40,920 prize pool. That was paid out to the top 19 spots and among those to cash but fall short of the final table were Gordon Sprague (10th - $785), Jon Tower (14th - $679), and Kyle Anderson (17th - $605), just to name a few.
Coming out on top was Darrell Lee, who not only won an $11,143 first-place prize but also captured his first gold ring. He began the final table as the chip leader but it wasn’t an easy path to victory. In fact, heads-up play against Ming Lee lasted for quite a while, but eventually Darrell Lee got the job done and nearly tripling his live tournament earnings up to that point.
