PokerNews is in town to live report the $1,700 Main Event here at the World Series of Poker Circuit IP Biloxi, but that is just one of the gold ring events that will have played out by the end of the series.
In Event #7: $400 NLH 8-Handed, 153 entrants created a $50,490 prize pool that was paid out to the top 23 spots including Melisa Singh (10th - $1,056), Jerry Barlow (15th - $687), and Craig Flood (19th - $637), just to name a few.
In the end, poker pro Trace Henderson of Laurel, Mississippi, who final tabled Event #1, was the victor for $13,382 and his first gold ring.
“I’ve been close before multiple times, it’s good to get one finally. I got hot early, and never looked back. It was a fun run,” said Henderson, who is among the points leader for Casino Champion.
“That would be cool to win it, I’m going to play everything,” he added. “If it comes, it comes.”
