Can the 2025 World Series of Poker Circuit Marrakech Main Event produce one of the most remarkable stories ever witnessed at the Casino de Marrakech inside the Es Saadi Resort? In just a matter of hours, we’ll find out if Anthony Apicella can achieve an extraordinary feat—becoming one of the few players, if not the only one, to win both the High Roller and the Main Event during a WSOPC festival.
Out of a record-breaking 1,523 entries, Apicella leads the 29 players who advanced to Day 3. With 4,500,000 chips, he holds a commanding lead of over one million chips ahead of Justin Tsui (3,415,000), who sits in second place. Oguz Kamacik is currently in third with 3,290,000 chips.

While Apicella may be the favorite at the moment, many players are eager to challenge him for the victory. Among them are Dinesh Alt (1,950,000), Paul Tedeschi (1,835,000), Mathieu Choffardet (1,595,000), and Volga Uyanik (1,540,000).
Despite having shorter stacks, Hugo Basin (1,205,000), Alexandre De Zutter (1,000,000), Guillaume Darcourt (965,000), Hedi Boussetta (750,000), and Blaise Bourgeois (545,000) are all still in contention and aiming for the first-place prize of 2,700,000 MAD (approximately €261,000).
The tournament is scheduled to restart at 1 p.m. local time, with blinds set at 25,000/50,000 and a 50,000 big blind ante. Levels will be 60 minutes long today, and play will continue until a winner is crowned. The final two tables will be to follow on stream with a 30-minute delay.
