Keith Lehr may not be famous, but he won a WSOP bracelet back in 2003, and nearly made it double when he finished second in the $1,500 Ace-to-Five Triple Draw Lowball. Lehr has over $384,000 in tournament winnings.
Travis Rice doesn't have a lot of tournament cashes, but one of the few was a first place at the L.A. Poker Poker Classic for $161,000.
Joe Patrick and Alan Jaffray have sparse records, and this is already a career highlight for both of them.
Due to internet issues in the Amazon Room, these updates will be relayed to me and I will post them. It is actually BJNemeth who is reporting the final table.
The final table for Event #13 ($5,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em) is scheduled to start at 2:00 pm PDT. Top pro Jeff Lisandro has a massive chip lead at a final table featuring some of the best:
Seat 1 - Jason Lester - 295,000
Seat 2 - Allen Cunningham - 346,000
Seat 3 - Travis Rice - 544,000
Seat 4 - Alan Jaffray - 254,000
Seat 5 - Joe Patrick - 631,000
Seat 6 - Gavin Griffin - 524,000
Seat 7 - Humberto Brenes - 225,000
Seat 8 - Keith Lehr - 182,000
Seat 9 - Jeff Lisandro - 982,000
This is going to be a *fantastic* final table.
Gavin Griffin was the youngest player to ever win a bracelet back in 2004 (amazingly, a record that's been broken *three* times since then), and is already having a great 2007, winning the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo earlier this year.
Allen Cunningham is one of the top pros in the world, coming off two very strong WSOPs, winning Player of the Year honors in 2005 and finishing fourth in the Main Event in 2006. He already has four bracelets, and is looking to become just the 17th player in history to win five.
Humberto Brenes is one of the most popular pros, and this is his second final table of the '07 WSOP. He won two bracelets way back in 1993 -- and none since. He'd love to pick up a third.
Jeff Lisandro is a top pro who finished 17th in last year's Main Event, and won an exciting WSOP Circuit Championship back in 2005, heads-up against Phil Ivey for several hours.
Jason Lester is probably best known for finishing fourth in the 2003 Main Event, behind Chris Moneymaker. But he also happens to be the defending champion in this event. It's been a long time since we've had someone win the same WSOP event two years in a row.
