Last No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball Event of the Summer Almost Set to Begin!
Welcome to PokerNews' Day 1 coverage of Event #36: $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball. This marks the second of two pure No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball tournaments of the 2014 World Series of Poker schedule. Paul Volpe earned his first WSOP bracelet when he took down the $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship earlier this summer.
This particular event wasn't on the schedule last summer, but it is back on the 2014 WSOP docket by popular demand. Larry Wright bested a field of 284 players to win back in 2012 and following his fifth-place finish in the $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship earlier this month, Wright is no doubt among the favorites in the field today.
The plan for the day is to play ten one-hour levels with a 15-minute break after every two levels. No dinner break is schedule, meaning play should wrap up around 3 a.m. Play is set to begin at 4 p.m. so be sure to keep it here at PokerNews as the latest quest to crown a bracelet winner begins!
