Lazar Bartha, James Tilton and Timothy McDermott had gathered 10,000 in the middle when the flop of 6?2?Q? was dealt. Bartha and Tilton checked from the blinds and McDermott bet 3,500 from middle position.

Only Bartha made the call and the 3? turn graced the felt. McDermott now upped the ante to 14,000 after another check from Bartha, who called yet again.

With some 71,000 in the middle to the J?J?3?10?3? river, the player in the big blind bet 50,000 with as many chips behind. Shem Goltz in the cutoff then pushed all-in and his opponent was seemingly struck. It took some 30 seconds for the big blind to call with A?J? for jacks full of treys but Goltz had that beat with the J?10?.

"I was afraid of that ... I almost folded," the defeated opponent said while another player chimed in with "it is a cursed seat", indicating that several players had already been eliminated from there.

They walked through the hand for several minutes and Wesley Fei concluded that a check-call would have been better and it was overplayed.
