Lucky Bomb Pot Saves Napadow’s Tournament
NLH Bomb Pot
The flops were:
Q?6?7?
4?J?K?
Kevin Napadow had only 100,000 chips of four big blinds left after posting the ante. Action checked to him in middle position, and he bet all-in.
One after another players folded despite getting great odds to try to eliminated Napadow, and as the button folded, and comments were made that it looked like Napadow just might get his small bet through. He would nearly triple up without opposition, which would be a great pick-up for him.
However, when it came to the last player, Boshuang Gao in early position, he said he disagreed. He informed the table had middle pair on both boards and made the call getting 3:1.
Kevin Napadow: Q?9?
Boshuang Gao: J?7?
Napadow was ahead on the top board and behind on the bottom.
The boards then ran out:
Q?6?7?10?9?
4?J?K?10?Q?
Napadow hit his gutshot straight on the turn of the bottom board and, on the river, made two pair on the top board. He was able to scoop the pot and keep his tournament alive.
