Turman Sitting on One Chip and Went out in Two Hands
"I bet there is only one idiot here with one chip", quipped Charles Turman as he put his last 25,000 in the pot for a short raise from under the gun. Gary Munoz limped in early position and Philip Muller checked the big blind.
The flop came out with 8?9?J?, Munoz bet out 75,000 and Muller folded.
Charles Turman: A?5?
Gary Munoz: A?7?
The board came out as 8?9?J?Q?K? and at first it was assumed that Munoz won but then Turman announced, "Split pot", and sure enough Turman was alive for the next hand.
On the next hand Turman was in the big blind so he was all in again and Gregory Nichols raised to 90,000 from cutoff and everyone else folded. Turman who had not looked at his hand turned over a surprising pocket tens.
Charles Turman: 10?10?
Gregory Nichols: A?9?
The board ran out with A?6?Q?5?6? and Turman was eliminated.
