Harmon Having Fun While Winning
David Harmon is clearly enjoying his Day 1d experience if two straight hands are an indication.
He sniffed out a bluff in the first hand, even needled his opponent on the river.
“Come on, find the bluff,” Harmon said with a chuckle.
And that’s what his opponent did by firing into the pot with air, only to be snap-called by Harmon, who had third pair on the board. And it was the winner.
“You tried to bluff me,” Harmon said to his opponent across the table.
On the very next hand, Harmon, who was in the small blind, called a button raise of 1,000. The player in the big blind came along to bring about three-way action.
The dealer fanned K?5?5? on the board, and Harmon and the player in the big blind checked. The player on the button bet, and Harmon called while the player in the big blind folded.
The K? showed up on the turn, and Harmon checked. The player on the button bet 2,100, which drew a response from Harmon.
“You have aces?” Harmon asked, and then he quickly called.
The dealer placed 8? on the river, and the action went consecutive checks.
“I got it, I got it,” Harmon said as he tabled 5?3?.
The player on the button immediately mucked his hand.
