Marc Camphausen Eliminated in 3rd Place (AU$115,970/$78,495)
An interesting ICM dynamic has been playing out between Shivan Abdine and Adrian Attenborough as with the short-stacked Marc Camphausen still in the equation, Abdine can't really get too frisky from the small blind.
As a result every time Abdine has limped the small blind, Attenborough has been applying maximum pressure from the big blind with some chunky raises. The first time it worked out in Attenborough's favour with Abdine folding, the second time Abdine ripped it in over the top and Attenborough folded immediately.
However, that dynamic is now done as Camphausen is no longer in contention, falling at the hands of Abdine, who will be coming into the heads-ups confrontation against Attenborough with the chip lead.
Camphausen's final hand saw him limp the small blind and Abdine checked his option in the big blind. The flop saw the German lead for 30,000 and Abdine raised to 85,000, which Camphausen called.
The turn saw Camphausen lead again for 100,000, Abdine moved all-in and Camphausen called for his tournament.

Shivan Abdine:
Abdine had hit the perfect flop and Camphausen was drawing dead. However, the German will not be too disappointed with the AU$115,970 on offer for third place - Camphausen was on a year's holiday and was down to his last AU$3,000 prior to the series.
He kept $1,000 for a plane ticket home and spun $2,000 up to $8,700 in a daily tournament, then won a satellite for $500 into the $5k Challenge. Camphausen is now AU$124,670 up from that, not a bad result at all.
