Flanders Fed Up but Doubled Up

Tim Flanders, frequently appearing around this island's tournament circuit (his wife Pippa playing a pretty mean game too) hasn't had a great first level. Now sitting on just 6,600, he raised all-in over the top of Dan Shak's preflop raise to 600 (the blinds now 100/200).
"Why so much?" queried Shak.
"I am fed up with losing on the flop."
Shak mulled it over, thinking out loud, "At best it's a race," and called, showing Nines to Flanders' Jacks. A third Jack on the flop, "helped," said a happier Flanders.
